No you weren’t there my honey,
We may not have any money
But we’ve got a lot to pay the bills
Maybe I think you’re cute and funny
Maybe I want to do what bunnies do
With you, and you know what I mean
Oh let’s get rich and buy our Paris homes in the south of France
Let’s get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
And teach them how to dance
Let’s get rich and build a house on a mountain making everybody look like ants
Way up there, you and I, you and I
Well you might be a bit a confused,
And you might be a little bit bruised.
But baby, how it’s like no one else
So I will help you read those books
If it will ease my worry looks
And we will put the loads up on the shelf
Oh let’s get rich and buy our Paris homes in the south of France
Let’s get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
And teach them how to dance
Let’s get rich and build a house on a mountain making everybody look like ants
Way up there, you and I, you and I
Oh let’s get rich and buy our Paris homes in the south of France
Let’s get rich and give everybody nice sweaters
And teach them how to dance
Let’s get rich and build a house on a mountain making everybody look like ants
Way up there, you and I, you and I
*These lyrics may not be 100% accurate, because I couldn't hear everything clearly...but they're close enough.
I came across this song written by some friends from my home stake back in Whittier, and I thought it was so fun and cute, and just love the message of it. It reminded me, I still have to write my one magical song before I die. Now I know I'm not dying tomorrow, but if I'm ever going to get any better at guitar, I gots to start pulling that thing out every day. So I started practicing again 2 days ago, and it's amazing how much my fingers have forgotten already. But it's coming back, as I practice. I plan on practicing every day, or at least a reasonable amount each week, so that I can be more relaxed, in fact, I started playing guitar in the first place because I found it to be relaxing. So now it's time to refocus and get back to working toward my "one song." In the meantime, listen to "You and I" by Tim Anaya & Katee Syphax" on here, or if it doesn't work check them out on youtube.com! :)
