A Happy Easter

Easter with the kids was awesome this year. I helped Chrysa and Orion find the phenominal silver and gold eggs. This was a cute little easter egg hunt at Ligia's place. Unfortunately Alex was gone doing sales during this time. But we had a blast anyways.

Here's Grandpa-Pito-Pepe (my Dad) with the kids. This is shortly after having his stroke, while my Mom was in California in the process of moving to Utah. He was still having difficulty understanding what we were saying. So when I told him we were going Easter egg hunting, he thought I meant we were going out to eat eggs. Which in his mind was a treat, because since his stroke he was eating a very strict vegan diet at the time. I'm pretty sure he was confused why I was so desperate for eggs that morning. He later realized it was Easter weekend. :)

Here I am with the my niece and nephew. After running around and scrambling to get all the cool easter eggs. I loved easter egg hunting so much. I can't wait for the day when I can do this with my own kids.

Here is a picture of Chrysa, more interested in her hard earned candy than looking up at me.

Chrysa and Orion...celebrating the fruits of their labor.

A mouth full of jelly beans!

Me asking Orion to take a picture for me.

Asking Orion to try the same picture with a smile this time. You can see, he has difficulty expressing his true emotion, because it's a forced smile. But he did sincerely have fun! :)

One more attempt to get a cute picture of Chrysa but once again, candy seems to be the way to her heart.

Well, Easter this past year was fun! And I know I'm what...4 months late on the post. Happy Easter! He is risen! :)

A Few of My Favorite Things That Start with the Letter "M"

My childhood friend, Amy, posted a blog with ten things that all started with the same letter! Her cousin gave her the letter she used, and then after reading her funny blog entry filled with thing's that started with the letter "K," I asked Amy to give me a letter! She gave me my letter of "M." Being skeptical, I thought this would be hard, but a list of 10 quickly became a list of 21, so I went back, and chose my top ten to share with y'all. And here's what I came up with . Ten Things I Like That Start with the Letter "M": 1. Mother. Well, this was the first thing that came to my mind when thinking of the letter "M". The sweet image of my dear mother. If any of you know anything about my mother...you've probably heard me mention how crazy she is! But what I mean by crazy is that I don't know where she gets all her energy from, at the whopping age of 29 years old (Haha! Or so she'll tell you that she's that ...

My Happy List 2020!

Looking back on old posts that I saved as drafts, I came across this one.  And overall, thought that this is a great one!  I have got to make an updated post and finish it.  So here it is! I used to make happy lists...my best friend and past roommate, Tiffany can attest to this. I would make a happy list for myself while I lived in the dorms, and I shared it with her. And she knew that if I was having a rough day or a difficult time, she would resort to my happy list to brighten up my spirits again. It really was an inspiring tool for me to use at times when I was sad. I think everyone should have a happy list, and constantly be make updates or modifications to things that make you happy. Hmmmm....I wish I kept a copy of my of my original "Happy List," so I'll do what I can and try to remember what was on my original Happy List, while conducting a new Happy List of things that make me happy today. Original 2004 Happy List: Puppy- My stuffed animal doggie that...

The Law of Tithe & Knowing He Is Real

I woke up this morning. Everything was as it should be, life was absolutely perfect with it's imperfections, and I was completely content. I began my morning brushing my teeth, reflecting on what had occurred the night before. I sat in my room, on my little spot clearing among a disastrous mess that I was trying to clean up, and after speaking on the phone with my mother, I decided to go to a corner of my room. I kneeled down to pray, and out loud I gave a long sincere prayer of thanks to my Heavenly Father. It's amazing how long we can go doing things incorrectly, even though we already know what we should be doing and that it will help us of we practice obedience. The Law of Tithing is one of those great commandments I struggle with. I could perhaps say that my parents didn't really ingrain this law in my head well enough, but I never had to deal with this type of responsibility until I moved out of the home. So I must face reality, and know that the responsibility...
